If you’re reading this, you’re likely facing doubt, insecurity, loneliness, troubling thoughts or memories, unwanted habits, unwanted anger, or excessive anxiety. Our minds try to protect us from suffering, so they find counterproductive ways to cope. I’ve been there, too, and I’ll deal with it again at some point. It’s universal.

I’ve been fortunate to develop skills and a lifestyle that give me a greater chance to thrive. If we work together, I have faith that we can identify ways to address what holds you back from fulfilling your needs.

Struggling with mental health means you’re struggling with your lifestyle. I believe that evaluating how we live our lives provides the framework on how to improve them. What are your values? Are you living in alignment with them? Do you have access to community? How confident do you feel about the current state of your identity? My approach is what big-wigs would call “holistic”. That just means we’re looking at every component of your life to figure out how to get your needs met.

If you’re curious about the therapeutic theories I favor: Motivational Interviewing is a great system to help us identify our strengths and build a proactive plan of action. Interpersonal Psychotherapy highlights the importance of social bonds, which I find critical in living a meaningful life. I’ve been trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for trauma, certified in Mindfulness and Relaxation by the Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and I’m experienced in teaching Nonviolent Communication for conflict resolution and improved communication.

I’m experienced in working with teens, young adults, veterans, and frustrated men. I’ve been able to help others improve their anger, social skills, identify goals and generate motivation through progressive behaviors, improve their response to traumatic memories, and most importantly, figure out what their needs are and how to meet them.

I’m open to meeting over telehealth or in the office. I’m also open to meeting at a park and offering therapy during a stroll; this would necessitate an additional conversation about confidentiality.

Reach out for a free 15-minute consultation in English and Spanish.  For additional information, email me below, or call us. I look forward to hearing from you.
