Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
Rates
Private rate: Base fee at Supportive Engagement is $175 per therapeutic hour which is 50 minutes. You will find our experience and personal care valuable. We maintain a small personalized practice to provide exceptional care and accessibility to our clients.
Benefits of a private rate not using your insurance: When a facility directly submits to insurance, some insurance companies may audit records as well as require regular reviews to continue in care. This means that your personal information may be shared freely. Some insurance companies determine the type of care that clients receive, may dictate treatment procedures, or limit coverage to specific conditions. At Supportive Engagement, we strive to provide the maximum privacy and ensure that care is directed by you to meet your needs with the care and expertise of your therapist. If you decide to self submit to insurance, your therapist can help you with this process and this offers much greater privacy to the care you receive. We feel that this honors your needs, care, and privacy. Payment
We use Headway to verify your insurance plan. At the end of your session, headway will charge your copay amount. We will be providing you with a welcome email directly from Headway.co upon scheduling a session.
Likewise, we use Therapy Notes as part of our EHR, meaning we will be sending you a welcome email from Therapy Notes as well, in order for you to sign all consent forms and intake information. Private-rate clients will be charged for their session using the Therapy Notes portal. We accept all major credit cards as forms of payment.
Cancellation Policy
You are responsible for attending each appointment you agreed upon. As such, you agree to adhere to the following policy: if you are prevented from keeping a scheduled appointment, you MUST notify us 24 hours in advance. If we do not receive a 24-hour advance notice, you will be responsible for paying a a $75 fee for the first session you missed, and $175 for every session after that. This fee cannot be billed to your insurance company. A makeup session can be discussed between you and your therapist at your therapist’s discretion.
